Steve is a musician, audio artist, independent broadcaster and
curator living in Winnipeg. Steve’s work in music has travelled from
early punk rock experiments to his current use of computers and cheap
electronics in performance and recording projects. His guitar is
often found, not too far away, vibrating on an ironing board.
Some of Steve’s current projects have included FREQUENCitY, a five
part radio art series (www.dimcoast.org) curated for Austria’s weekly
radio art program, Kunstradio, and a low-power radio broadcast in
Winnipeg's Exchange District transmitting raw and processed sounds
recorded in this multifaceted district.
For Tic.Toc, Steve will be performing a site-specific piece using
sounds from the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.
